Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and entrepreneurial Fractional CMO to lead client marketing strategies, drive growth outcomes, and serve as a strategic thought partner to client executives. You’ll be embedded within client teams to shape their marketing vision, align execution across teams, and ensure high-value business impact.

This is a 1099 contractor role that will begin as part-time and is expected to grow quickly into a full-time opportunity based on client demand and performance.

This role requires residency in Utah with availability to work in-office 1-2 days per week.

Core Responsibilities

Client Expansion & Retention

Ensure strategies deliver long-term value and client retention.
Identify and drive growth opportunities (upsells, new services).
Prevent scope creep and maintain profitable focus.

Client Strategy Ownership

Lead marketing strategy aligned with client business goals.
Translate goals into actionable, measurable campaign plans.
Evolve strategies based on performance and industry trends.

Cross-Functional Alignment

Direct specialists to execute strategic plans collaboratively.
Partner with Account Managers to ensure cohesive execution.
Align all deliverables with strategic client goals.

Reporting

Own outcomes across assigned client accounts.
Review data, derive insights, and drive strategic pivots.
Present findings in high-level client steering meetings.

Innovation & Expertise

Stay on the forefront of marketing trends and tools.
Contribute ideas that differentiate ROARCMO’s client work.
Mentor internal teams and elevate strategic capability.

What You Bring

Executive-level experience (VP or CMO level) in marketing.
Proven ability to drive client growth and retention.
Deep strategic acumen and ability to lead diverse teams.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Data fluency and results-oriented mindset.
Located in Utah with flexibility for in-office collaboration.
Familiarity with agency or multi-client environments is a plus.
